From Inside the Box is a weekly children’s sermon that was inspired by a church out in the midwest. Unlike typical object lessons, our speakers are given the challenge of having to create a message on the spot based on whatever object someone puts into the toolbox. Each week we can be inspired by how everyday objects can remind us of Jesus’s lessons and God’s love for each of us.
Special Series for Lent 2021: Acts of Healing
During each weeks lesson, we will exlore some of the many acts of healing each week.
The church wants to create a sanctuary for all people. More than just a place for service, we want it to be a safe space for everyone to come and feel free to express their true feelings to God. But during these times in order to keep people safe we have had to close our doors. Today we will create a safe space that you can go to anytime you want and help you to remember that you are loved. By your family and friends, your teachers, your church family and always by God!
We are going to put the pieces back together from Ash Wednesday. And while we notice that we can not earse the hurts, we can turn over a new leaf and start again. Its in this way we see that God’s love can transform our hurts into something more.
In our Ash Wednesday Young Disciple message we are going to write down the things that have caused us to hurt over the last year. Then through a series of acts, we are going to attempt to remove the hurt from the paper we wrote them on. Only to find that we can’t really ever get completely remove the hurt on our own.
