Rev. Caroline Simmons
Rev. Caroline Simmons was appointed to the Rotterdam UMC community on July 1, 2017. Rev. Caroline has served churches in the Genesee Valley, Niagara Frontier and Crossroads Districts prior to her current appointment in the Albany District. She graduated from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School (CRCDS) with a Masters of Divinity Degree. In 2010, Rev. Simmons was ordained at the first gathering of the Upper NY Annual Conference.
Rev. Caroline has a special PK (“preacher’s kid”) by the name of Kelsea who is not your typical PK, as she is a beautiful Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. Rev. Caroline enjoys taking Kelsea for long walks, and tossing the Frisbee for her to catch. During the winter, Kelsea enjoys catching snow that is tossed in the air to her. Kelsea helps to keep her centered and ensures that she takes some time for herself.
