Imagine a World with No Racism

This special six-week small group study is being led by one of our Certified Lay Servants, Thaddeus Pinckney.
This program was developed by the Commission on Race and Religion at the Upper New York Annual Conference. This course is meant to launch the ongoing work of addressing, and ultimately, dismantling racism, and was designed to address and understand racism and the impact it has in our communities and our world. This is the mission and vision that was developed for imagine no racism:• Imagine No Racism Mission: to equip followers of Jesus Christ to be more actively antiracist in their lives and ministries so that they increase their effectiveness in making disciples and building the beloved community.
Imagine No Racism Vision: different manifestations of racial injustice will be dismantled because of the work of members, congregations, and other ministries of the Upper New York Annual ConferenceALL ARE WELCOME. Bring a chair, mask, and Bible.
And yet . . .you can miss him in historical lists for many reasons, maybe the most obvious being the way he lived his life. He did not loudly and demonstrably defend his movement in the spirit of a rising political or military leader. He did not lay out a case that history would judge his brand of belief superior in all future books.
His life and teaching simply drew people to follow him. He made history by starting in a humble place, in a spirit of love and acceptance, and allowing each person space to respond.
