Winter Book Study

The Lilies of the Field by William E. Barrett

Join us on Wednesdays at 1:00pm

The study runs from January 9th – February 6th

The enchanting story of two unlikely friends, a black ex-GI and the head of a group of German nuns, The Lilies of the Field tells the story of their impossible dream–to build a chapel in the desert.

This is an old book (c. 1962) but it is worth reading again with new perspectives. We will try to get the film which won Sidney Poitier a “Best Actor” Oscar. We will have books or you can grab one from the library.
